Anne Sassoon
Anne Sassoon’s paintings and drawings are influenced by the various places where she has lived for extensive periods of time, including apartheid Johannesburg and post-apartheid Cape Town, London, Boston, and Jerusalem. Her work is mediated by photographic and filmic images, and relates to the social concerns of modern society: the theatre of politics, mass migration, and the ambiguity of human boundaries.
