For me the simple act of painting and drawing, serves me as a perceptual/communicational tool, that for me it is deeply rooted and structured around the basis of the pictorial language, and it allows me to move freely and investigate the interests that concern me in my work.
At first sight, at the level of subject matter, the themes that usually appear in my work might seem conventional. classical perhaps. still life's, landscapes, portraits and the human figure. or a gaze out the window.. But on a deeper level, underlying the surface, I feel that there is a poetic dimension to it. undefined by words, I sense that through the act of painting my work derives life out of the visual world onward.
